In the district of Novello, centuries-old hillside vineyards
give rise to some of the finest Nebbiolo grapes; which
are used to produce this ruby red Barolo Ravera.
Very intense bouquet, recalling the fragrance of wilted
rose, mountain flowers, and fine wood. On the palate,
the first impression is warm and mouth-filling,
leading into a great structure, rich in balance and gravitas.
The tannins are sweet, highlighting the full essence
of the Nebbiolo cultivar. A well balanced acidity makes it
a pleasant and appetizing wine.
Nebbiolo - Believed to have been cultivated in the Langhe district before the 14th century. Nebbiolo is notoriously difficult to grow and make into fine wine outside of Piemonte region. The wines, Barolo & Barbaresco tend to be the most in need of aging, other wines made in the modernist style are becoming more approachable at a young age.
