This full-bodied and well balanced Barolo is obtained from
Sordo’s multi-vineyards estate in the Barolo Region.
The wine matures in traditional Slavonian oak barrels of
great capacity, and is then aged in bottles. This wine possesses
a garnet red colour with orange nuances that become
more noticeable as the wine ages; an aroma that is
subtle, evolved, intense, and lingering; a full-bodied and
well-balanced taste. Its austere nature is determined by
the presence of sweet and complex tannins. This is a brilliant,
age-worthy wine which truly showcases the best of
the Italian wine-making tradition.
Nebbiolo - Believed to have been cultivated in the Langhe district before the 14th century. Nebbiolo is notoriously difficult to grow and make into fine wine outside of Piemonte region. The wines, Barolo & Barbaresco tend to be the most in need of aging, other wines made in the modernist style are becoming more approachable at a young age.
