The grapes are vinified with a soft treading de-stemming, maceration on skins for about a week and then blended before aging in 15 hl oak barrels for minumum
12 months.
Morlantino is made from the Barbera grapes of the Bricco vineyards in Monferrato. This deep ruby red wine is perfectly tannic and delicate with fine notes of red fruits & spices. This is a versatile wine easily paired with a variety of food, including white & red meat or pasta dishes.
Barbera is a red Italian wine grape variety that, as of 2000, was the third most-planted red grape variety in Italy (after Sangiovese and Montepulciano). It produces good yields and is known for deep color, low tannins and high levels of acid.[1]
