The 2008 Barbaresco Riserva is an ultra-traditional wine; the grapes ane handpicked, bunches sorted before a long fermentation with a regular punching down of the cap (skins and stalk that float to the surface). The wine was transferred to a single 25 hectolitre barrels, where it remained for 7 years.
Barbaresco Riserva 2008 is an exceptional vintage!
Mint and white flowers mark this notably fresh nose, immaculate refined on the palate where the red fruits are giving way the secondary spice and porcini.
Nebbiolo - Believed to have been cultivated in the Langhe district before the 14th century. Nebbiolo is notoriously difficult to grow and make into fine wine outside of Piemonte region. The wines, Barolo & Barbaresco tend to be the most in need of aging, other wines made in the modernist style are becoming more approachable at a young age.
